Killing time in the computer lab. I have turned in my writing portfolio the rest of the semester is all down hill. I have a quiz in my math class today and I haven't covered any of the material, but I am doing so well I could pretty much wipe my ass with it and still ace the class. So here I sit playing yahoo pool and rockin' to my ipod. Laters.

Ahh, livejournal, how I neglect thee. I have been a busy Liam, but things are good. I have a new job. I am going to be a respit aid for Christian Home Services, which means I will be a care provider for young peoples. And despite the sucktitude of school, I am doing well and I am proud of myself. Livejournal has not been the only thing I have been neglecting as of late. I feel a bit distanced from friends. I am going to have a little more availability soon and I will have a set work schedule, no more retail hours. So I am going to try and be in the loop more.

Rudy, let me know how the open house went. I want to see the new digs. I think I will have to make a trip to the GR soon.

Help Me!

Work was infuriating today. My backup wasn't there, so I had the work load of two people and 94 degrees of heat boiling me alive were I stood. My lunch was pushed back two hours while I cleared the lot between inane tasks from management. I slept lousy last night, so that combined with work makes for one thoroughly destroyed Liam.

I haven't had a weekend off for a while and I really need some fun time. My summer has been fairly boring thus far. I have Wednesday through Friday off this week and I want to get the hell out of town, but I do not have a large availability of friends with work schedules as senseless as mine. If anyone does have some free time this week though let me know because work is starting to make me a little loopy.

Enjoy your weekend. I got work in the morning. :*(

I have not been updating much. I'll have to work on that. I have not been very productive lately. I'll have to work on that as well. I have basically been working, playing with the band and getting ready for school in the fall. I really have to crack down this year I haven't been doing too well, my GPA isn't where it needs to be and I have wasted too much money on classes that I have to retake. It is time to get focused. Outside of that I pretty much just sit around on my ass watching my netflix instead of more useful endeavors. Things to do this summer: play guitar more, write more, and get started on Changeling damn it.

All Systems Go

Well it is official. All systems are go on my new band. We have got Guitar, Drums (Andrew), Bass (Me, duh), and get this, we even have the traditional hot chick on tambourine, the staple of a real shoegaze band. She will also be covering synth. I think three of us are going to be singing. I wanted to sing initially, that was before Andrew and I discovered other shoegazers, and then Brandon (Guitar) from Andrew's work wanted in and he was interested as well. And as for Teri, well I'm not too sure where she fits in to all of this, I just got word on her today, but she sings and female vocals are a must, as is the way of shoegaze. We will be rehearsing soon. So get ready kiddies because this is going to be one rockin' outfit.

Bizarro Cynicisms and Sleepy Ramblings

I find myself extremely irritated lately. I can feel nothing but malice toward humanity. I am becoming the cliché grumpy old man yelling at kids to stay off the lawn. But then I examine the reasons and I find something very interesting. I am happy. I love life, myself and the world I live in. I have just been having trouble maintaining any tolerance toward anyone with alternate beliefs from my own. Most people aren't happy. Most people are pessimistic as all hell and can't shut the hell up about it and recently this has been taking a heavier toll on me than normal. I am like a bizarro cynic. I'm royally pissed, but not because I have been dealt any injustice, I see life as this amazing wonderful experience, I feel blessed to be alive. I am pissed off because I find myself surrounded by morons who can't stop bitching at the most mundane things long enough to experience the good in the world.

For instance people complaining about their jobs, don't cry to me man I push fucking carts all day, I have days that are frustrating as hell, I come home and my shoulders burn like they're filled with acid and my body aches like I have been beaten by an oar for 8 hrs, but for the most part I am grateful to have a job. And then people say everybody is working for the weekend. Well I'm not. I work on the weekend, the week days and I have school in between. Breaks have been rare. And again grateful, not bitching, pretty content here. For those who don't like the concept of actually earning what you gain, go fuck yourselves, it makes me proud to know that the things I have I worked my god damn ass off for.

And this one really gets me. People with pessimistic views on relationships, their own or otherwise. Complaining about who their with or giving me advice like "you know being in a relationship won't solve all your problems." Well how the fuck do you know? What if it will? What if there are absolutely no problems in someone’s life other than the fact that they would like to open up and share it with someone? Wouldn't a relationship technically then solve all of their problems? If your not happy about who you’re with find someone else and if you still can't find someone who you can actually enjoy life with then... I don't know... go castrate yourself and shut the hell up.

Disclaimer: I do think the majority of the population is horribly mediocre, mundane, ungrateful and ignorant, but I don't normally think about them long to care or get myself worked up, but it does happen on occasion and then I just have to vent. So now that I got all that shit off my chest I say good night.

80's night at the temple club was a success. I was carrying some gear for Adam and Andrew who were performing and the door guy assumed I was in the band which I later discovered meant free beer. So I walked into the 80's and woke up this morning feeling like the 90's and I am currently working my way back to present day.
